I am interested in rebuilding this tractor and would like to find out what is the most horsepower that I can achieve. I basically would like a total overhaul to be the most that it could be,,..i pulled this tractor in the stock class and would like to move up to the next level..If anyone has any specs or experience on this gas motor I would enjoy hearing from you...thanks

Sleeve it to 5.5" or 5.75" stroke to 7.5" around 160-200hp depending on the heads and rpm and dollars .

If you want to keep it closer to stock you can put LP heads, (4206 or 4213) and an LP manifold set on it. M&W pistons in stock blocks and a good cam grind helps too. I have a 65 hp U with this combination,(it's for sale!).

The trick to the whole thing is getting the air in it. Like Andy said the LP manifold 4206 heads then open up the ports smooth everything out and what seems to really help is opening the chamber around the valves because they are so close to the edge and are shrouded by the chamber wall. Maybe have the heads shaved and 5020 ex valves will work for intakes they are 1/8 bigger but are no help if you don't open up the chambers and under the valve itself. Good Luck
