MM Z and U numbers

I am looking at a MM Z and U with the following numbers: MM Z Engine: Model 3 5/8 x 5 206 B4, SN 0185002272; Transmission: Model Z, SN 006501388. Is this a 1950 Z and or how do I tell if it is some other rendition of Z such as Z??

MM U Engine: Model 4 1/4 x 5 283 A, SN 01910622; Transmission: Model U, SN 01204076. Again is this a straight U as it appears to be a UTS from pictures I have seen at this site?

Also, did the Z tractors have a seat with a backrest as I have also seen a picture here of another tractor with that type of seat. Were they original or someone's handiwork?

Your Z is a ZAU 1950. should have 2 wheel narrow front.
Your U is a UTS 1951. should have fixed tread wide front and fixed rear tread.
Got serial numbers from jetstar.minneapolis-moline.com.

some Z's had a 'Deluxe' seat. This is a factory item. It was a square metal bottom with a sheet metal formed sides and back. Others had just a 3-hole pan seat. Either is correct, except maybe depends on year.

P.S. are the brake pedals on the '51 UTS on the left?

note: some of the later z's and U's only said 'Z' and 'U' on their serial number tags.
