Considering purchasing an M670LP to power a lagoon cleaning project.Anyone know of any lubrication problems for the front of transmission if tractor is operated backed down a slight bank for extended periods of operation (maybe 8 hrs a day ) (perhaps for 1 week) I have read of people talking about necessary oil being thrown into front area of tranny case for Ampli-torque lubrication. I know Ampli-torque would not be involved but if there is much of a barrier to splash lubrication I could see all the oil in the back of the transmission. I'll be running engine at a fair speed for what i need to do. Any thoughts?

Well I don't know about the transmission. But I have a 5-star I bought for parts that the motor is ruined on because it was backed down a slight bank on and ran a pump. One rod bearing and two main bearings are spun and have trashed the block. The only good news that I picked up an tractor for a song. Why not just get a stationary engine for the job?

I agree on the stationary engine idea. When you're through with it sell it for what you have in it.
