Hello I have found a M.M. pull type plow. The owner said it was complete (except) the hitch, or the piece that goes on the tractor. Does anyone know what he is talking about and where would I find such a piece??? Finding this piece will determine whether I purchase it or not. I might be able to rescue this from the Scrapyard. What would be a Fair price for this Plow??? Any Help Appreciated. Thanks Brian.....

Brian, the part referred to is the spring release mech, also known as a "strawberry". Massey Harris and some others used their version of the same thing, they can be adapted to work very easily. They can be found. I would say $100.00 per bottom would be too much. IF it doesn't have MM coulters, $50.00 a bottom is too much. plows are cheap, the plow bottom parts and the coulters are the expensive part. You can pull the plow with a clevis, but if you hit a rock there is no release so the risk of breaking something is great. There may be a spring release for sale at the MM Collectors show auction. Never know. Scrap price for a plow here is about $25.00
