While doing an inspection at an up and coming auction I seen a MM G955. Real good condition, well cared for with a heated cab. What are they going for? Is this a good tractor? What are we looking at in terms of horse power on the drawbar? And also, what do these things weigh? It is on factory propane and tires were new.
Thankyou for any information you can share,
Morgan

I got a G955 LP with cab from Welters. I had it completely rebuilt & repainted. I made it into a 504CI that puts out around 112hp. The only problem I had with it was the throttle lever not holding, because of the governor springs. It had a U throttle on it & I went back to the original one with a counter spring. I have now put on over 1000hrs on it. I really like the tractor.

A dealer here in So. IL has a cabbed LP; nice condition for 6,500.00 A few years ago a sharp cabless LP sold at auction for at least 6,000 + (I forgot exact price). Also I watched a higher hour unit with a 2-105 cab sell for about $7,800.00 I don't think there are many LP models and everyone seems to love a G-955 period. On our clay soils a good plow match would be 5-16's. PTO horsepower is just under 100

The engine PTO also runs the same speed as the engine

I looked through my owners manual and could not
find the total wieght. I think it weighs aound
9,400 lbs. I hauled mine 220 miles on a single
axle truck, so they are not real heavy. PTO is 97
hp. This was a good 4 plow tractor. Drive it to
make sure the Over/Under shift is working. Look in
between the clutch and transmission. If the 3
speed is black it has been replaced. Very few
people bothered to paint the new 3 speed when
installing them. The PTO can run at 540, 1000 rpm
or turn the same direction as the engine. For
baling hay and planting, the 3 speed can't be
beat. I have owned my G955 since 1976.
