Larry, The PTO will usually run on the 335 until they are warmed up and connected to something requiring some force to turn it. There is no brake on these early models. If still won't stop when something like a blaer is connected to it then the disks in the PTO clutch are probably warped from someone using it with it improperly adjusted. The 2 levers under the seat have nothing to do with the power steering. One is for the drop rate of the 3 point, the other is to adjust the cycle rate of the draft control. If they are original, they should say "RATE" & "CYCLE" on them. As for your steerin not working, if the 3 point raises an implement, it is not too low for the steering to work. The proper level is approx 1" below the top surface of the hole where the plate that has the 2 levers under the seat bolts on with the lift arms down. If you have no steering assist at all in either direction, it is likely that either the priority valve in the hydraulic pump is stuck, the relief valve in the steering valve is stuck open or the spring broken, or the pin that connects the steering valve to the sector shaft is broken.
