Hey guys, This is my introduction to Minny Mo tractors. I learned of a shedded Jet Star 2 Diesel that is in good original shape. I have no idea of the value of one. Is this a rare tractor? What should I offer for it..ie, what would be a good deal and what would be too much? Thanks, AC (And no,I am not affiliated with Allis-Chalmers)

Yes the diesel models are rare. I can't tell you just how many where made though. As far as price goes it is what ever you are willing to pay for it.

Thanks for letting me know that the diesels were rare. I had never even seen a 2 before. It would be nice to have production numbers, but oh well. I know it is hard to ask value...thanks you very much..AC

AC,
The Jet Star 2 was only made in 1963. There were 1100 gas & LP tractors and only 113 diesels. There were even fewer orchard models made too. Yes, I would consider a JS2 diesel a rare tractor. Unless the owner wants an arm and a leg and its in pieces I'd buy it. You can't really put values on tractors with that low of production numbers because you rarely see them sell. It's really what ever you and the owner work out as a fair price. The JS2 diesel serial #s were 25700001-25700113.

Thank you very much. It was a one family tractor, and after the owner died, it was abandoned in the barn. Now that I have inquired about it, The piece of junk that no one cared about is now "Grandpa's tractor" Makes me sick. Afraid someone smells money...will do my best...thanks, AC
