I have broken two cables on the right side of my U. Brake pedle keeps jumping up and down when I hold pressure on the pedle What will make it do this. Is there new cables available to buy.

Tim, just a hunch: next time you have the brake drum off, check and see how much side play is in the shaft. You may have a worn out bearing, since thats the side the differential pinion pushes against.

Also: see if you can figure some way to check runout on the brake surface of that drum, to make sure its perfectly round in relation to the shaft.

Last, but no means least: Is there an unusually rusty or pitted area in the drum? I had a truck that was parked for years that had that problem.

Not long ago (less than 10 years) those cables were available new from Agco.

Also, a few years ago David Paul in Pickens SC could replace your old cable if your clevis, screw and cable housing were O.K. I think he can be reached at Affordable Equipment (or is it DP equipment?) in Easley SC.
