I have a 900 moline (one of the last ones built with some 950 parts). When I use it you must constantly turn slowly to keep from going to one side. I don't use it much but this is an irritation. Any ideas?

Don't know that much about the latter MM's, but I believe there is probably a centering valve that meters how much oil is allowed to each side when in the center position or stationary position(not turning). It may be that it is leaking more to one side than the other. My cousins have a 1850 Oliver that does that. It is aggrevating. Hope this gives you some help.

When we bought our first G 1000 Vista new in 68, the salesman told me that since it had hydrostatic power steering, you would find that you needed to re-adjust your hand on the wheel every so often or you would start going to the side. I never owned a 900, but did use one once while ours was in the shop and it had the same power steering pump that runs with a belt I think and as I remember it did the same thing. I never considered it to be irritating, maybe I just became used to it. How fast does it creep or how long going down the road or a streight line before you have to correct it? Maybe it's worse than ours were.
