Any one here ever have a M5 with a mounted corn picker on it? I have the chance to buy a M5 with no fenders or 3 pt., thought it might be a good candidate for a mtd. picker (I was going to mount one on a tractor to use anyway). What late-model MM picker would be a good choice, or would something like a 319 NI Superpicker be better? EC IN,flat land, 150 bu. corn Wuld I need general mounts (universal) or regular M5 mounts especially for this picker-tractor mounting. Also, weak points, or tips to watch for besides safety and overheating? Thanks.

We had a NI picker/sheller on a M5 gas for several years on the farm in PA. This was a real nice set-up. Our M5 did not have 3pt. I do not think there would be a problem fitting a picker on one that did. I have seen a piture on the internet of a NI picker on an M5 but can not recall where it was displayed.
