I have purchased a BF AVERY (Same tractor as the Minnieapolis Moline BF) that had been completely dissasembled. I am needing info on one of the bearings and on the oil seals for the same tractors transmission. I hope to buy new bearings and seals for the tractor. Does anyone have numbers that go along with these items? The bearing that I need a part number for is the BF Avery # VT822. The oil seals are # VT803, VT807, & VT815. I do not have these items that came out of this transmission, because the gentleman that tore it apart had lost them. Any help would be greatly appreciated since my local BF Avery dealer does not have any info.

I think I can help. Guesss what? I just tore down my water logged tmission for a 1952 BF avery model V. I have all the bearings and races out. I can provide you with the model nimbers for all of the bearings and races except for the two ball bearings (see below) that I think are on the main shaft. All the other bearings are tapered and were mfg by Timken. I went to one dealer and was shocked that it would cost about 225 dollars for all the bearing and seals. So I am looking for another cheaper supplier (?). Back to your problem I can cross reference the bearing model nos. and corresponding race nos. for all the tapered bearings to the BF Avery manual's model numbers. The ball bearings dont have model numbers on them but I think they can be matched up. Let me know if this is what you need and I will put this info together.

The bearing is the front and rear bearing for the main transmision shaft. And the seals are all of the seals that are in the transmission. I have a assembly drawing out of the manual that I can send to show if that would be of any help.

Thanks,
David

The bearing is the one that goes on the front and rear of the main shaft. The seals are basically all of the seals that go in the transmission. Thanks for your help.
