I do not know whether they were factory or dealer installed, but two tractors were built for NTPA as pull back tractors they were 1350 or 1355's their is one of those tractors at Wendel Everett's in Ohio looked at it last year, he said it was factory that some wheel with NTPA ordered them but just the same could have been dealer installed I have also heard that MM gave the dealer credit on the tractor engine when they were doing the 800hd install they were talking about A4T's when they were telling me.

I have a supplement to the A4T repair parts that shows all the parts for the 800 used in those tractors. Maybe somone else has a similar supplement for the G1350 or G1000.

As much as I would like to help you, MM did NOT put the HD800 in a G1000 or G1350 at the factory. It was a dealer installed kit. MM would even give a refund for the orginal motor.

The previous post is correct. We've got 2 1350's with 800's. We bought from the guy who ordered them new. He said the tractors arrived with no motor with the 800 on pallets. The tractors and motors both have consecutive serial numbers.

I didn't know it was such a big deal. Just went over and got the #'s off the two 1350's. Engine serial #'s 46000039 and 46000040 Tractor serial #'s 43200067 and 43200068. Dad thought it was 75 or 76 when he and Harold Jennings went to a dealer in Hamilton IL and bought them both. We took one the other going to a neighbor of Don Nolan's by Taylorville IL. In 78 or 79 that guy retired an we got the litter mate to ours. They are identical w/cabs that someone did a real nice job off indoor/outdoor carpetting Bostrom seats and also the original stainless steel mufflers that they installed when new. They had 1500hrs when we got them now have 3800-4300.

MM did make a special P/n prefix (460) for the HD800 for the 1350 and A4T, but that doesn't meen it was used

Did the factory acknowledge this change,or was it a dealer only option with no factory involement. This is going in a puller, engine has to be what came out in the tractor,or what could have been ordered in the tractor.I dont have pictures yet freddy

The factory would of stamped that prefix on the engine data plate if it was used. Now there was plenty of reported factory authorized engine changes. All you would have to do is find one of them people and have them check their 1350's data tag on the engine. Then there would be your proof.

The large bell or power unit engines were never put in tractors. The small bell engines were only built to be put in tractors MM made over 250 units and installed them in G900 s thru the a4t to make the engine legal in NTPA. The only two i know that were supposed to be factory installed were the two pull back tractors that NTPA bought they were standards with no three point and were painted red white and blue. Ray Musselman in ILL has one and Everretts in OH have the other one. The government actually made them stop selling it because they were selling them for less than what the industry standard was at the time.

That is the wierdest story I have ever heard on this subject. I would love to see proof on that! Factory authorized is not the same as Installed. I've been there and seen the Everrett's tractor, its red, didn't know it was red white and blue before. Del Monte used and pushed these HD800 tractors. So when did the King of Veggies get in to tractor pulling. Everyone knows the small bells were used for the modern tractor line. MM had demonstrator tractors for showing off with HD800's in them is that what you mean? as for the goverment getting involved and stopping them from selling, that ususally only happens to foreign competition. Not American, Your allowed to go broke if you want. All this time I thought Farmers wanted bigger tractors to farm with. So our first G1350 had red, white and blue on it, maybe the NTPA had that one too. :) just kidding.

What i Meant was the Gov advised them to stop selling the tractors at that price. They have a fancy name for the policy but it is basically a fair trade agreement. For example a 200 hp tractor would sell in a 10.000 to 15.000 range and someone came along like John Deere and because they hade the resources to make and sell the same tractor for 8.000 dollars the gov would say no. They would simply drive everone else out of buisenss and then be a monopoly. IT is something similiar to what they did to Microsoft. As far as factory involvement i know they supplied people like Miller Dukeman and Harrold Jennings with The small bell 800s for pulling obviously several where put in buy the dealers it was optional but it was definitly factory authorized but i doubt they felt the need to do much documentation it was pretty obvious what they were doing.

From what I can see at NATPA most people improvise some how and its Encouraged. Just when have they allowed 1969 model tractors to be in antique class? we just got G6's running now. As for what looks like cheating are them green players with there long blocks and big bore kits with big valve heads . Some people think If it wasn't made by the manufacturer it should be illegal period and tell me when an Oliver 88 with factory parts pulled 200+ horsepower. The bottom line with me is I don't come to the pulls to see a bunch of farming equipment. I want to see people with innovation and are willing to run up to the edge of the rules.

I share your opinions.I would appreciate more info on the above instance. What year is the G1000,Rink pulls? Please help me if you have any info, I have an ugly old Deutz tractor and NATPA refused to let me pull it. Natpa reason : it was to new of tractor. The info I received, the tractor started in 1957 and ceased in 1963.If this is correct, this would be legal, but I have no documents to substantiate this, nor does NATPA have any to dispute it. So....
Thanks.

Rink's tractor is a GVI not a G1000. They where started production in '59 so that makes it legal for Div. 5 classes. As for your tractor, the burden of proof is up to you. You need to find some factory information on your tractor, not just hearsay. When you find information on model year availablity, you will also need information on factory high idle to take with you so they don't try to throw you out for rpm's. The more information you have the better. This way you are covering yourself. Good luck with your endeavors.
