Hey guys, I am in the process of trying to buy an old JS3 Industrial.

Instead of a 3pt hitch it has a large iron wrap around weight that has MM logo.

It looks to be factory, and the tractor shows no evidence of a 3pt ever being equipped.

The weight looks to weigh at least 200-300 pounds.

I have never seen this weight on a JS3 before.
I know a 3pt was often substituted for a backhoe, but it shows no evidence of a backhoe ever being there either!

Does this sound familiar to anyone???

Aron, I have the same tractor. Mine came with a 3pt that I think is off a U-302. I found 302 written on it and it was cut some to fit bottom mount on back. Also, the parts match a 302 book I have and not the JS3. I think lots of these were made without the hitch. They also had a diff hydraulics with two valves and under seat which is also diff than one with 3pt. You have a picture you could send me of the weight you are seeing? I'm not familiar with that either, but will be putting on a loader and need some weight for back. Probly can't go on with 3pt, though, hey? You probly have the clamshell type fenders too? I traded mine off for the flat-top kind. I AM looking for the foot throttle parts for it, if you know of any of those parts.

Yes, this was their counterweight for the loader tractors. Your assesment of the weightwas off though, I think it weighs around 750# to 1000#. There is a dealer in Wisconsin who has a couple of these weights. $100 each, I as going to put one on my Big Mo, but I need the hitch and possibly a 3 point hitch later.
