WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN THE CRUD AND GUNK
OUT OF A CARB THAT HAS BEEN USED WITH A DIRTY GAS TANK AND IS LIKELY PLUGED?

Hank,
If compressed air doesn't do the trick I've had good luck with the carb cleaner you buy in a gallon at an auto parts store. You disassemble the carb and dip the parts in the cleaning solution for 15-30 minutes and they come out really clean. You have to use caution as this solution is very caustic and you should not get it on your skin. Rinse the parts with water and blow dry being sure to blow out all the little passages.
