I see an ad in the last issue of Antique Power Magazine that in Castalia, Iowa today, the Munroe family is actioning off their extensive collection, all sorts of stuff. Probably the big draw will be a MM UDLX Comfortractor, s/n 310001X and it is supposedly the first one built. I think I read somewhere where the first batch did not have the cabs but did have all the other features. I wonder if this one had or ended up with a cab on it? A couple of months ago, one of those auctioned in Booker, Texas for $78000 US plus taxes. If anyone knows how much this current one went for it would be interesting to know so maybe post it up here.

Monte, What did the 1939 R MM with cab bring?I once owned this tractor and sold it unrestored to Lloyd and Kale M in 1985.It had no rear door.

I figured the UDLX would bring around $100,000.The 1st 25 were built with out cabs but it could be added later which most did.I have a picture of a nice open cab tractor from Oregon.

1206swmo: I asked my dad he didnt know for sure. I will ask a neighbor farmer that I think went probably see him in the next day or so. I see there is a post on agriculture.com machine section might ask that guy also. My dad said several of the mm went in the 10 to 20000 dollar range. I guess were more IH here 56 and 66 series dont follow the MMs very much. It would have been nice to have had a couple of those 100,000 dollar machines in the back of the machine shed the way this farming is going would have really helped!! Monte

Thanks for the information. Did you ask your dad if it had a cab or not? I just read in a book last week where the first ones off the line didn't have the cab. Maybe this one was the first one with a cab? Let me know here after you ask him if you would. Thanks.

Hi Mike: Yes this one had a cab. I think it might have been added later on the way my dad talked. He also said there were 3 tractors, this one and a couple of others I dont know what models they were, they were lined up together the total for the 3 was about 150,000 dollars. Monte
