Live PTO on UB

Does anyone have a picture of the live pto assembly for an early UB? When I bought the tractor I noticed that the lever was gone. At that time I didn't know that there was a sort of a bolt or stud that holds the lever on. Now that I know that, there must be something missing. I've got the assembly out of the tractor and put in order for easy installation. But I haven't a clue as to what i'm missing. I found some grease/oil in there that could also be on the brake linings which is bad. Also, can someone tell me the operation and/or principle of this? It seem's like a piss-poor patent to me. It could have it's advantages but I think something newer like an M670 or equivalent is a much better design. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Trever

I was recently in to a live power setup. We removed the lever and took the clutch springs out to eliminate slippage. The PTO cluch has been known to slip during heavy pulling. This was also done in the past on Grandpa's UBD. My 2 cents. I may have a picture somewhere, but it does not explain much. We just sold a 1952? UTU that has the live PTO too. It worked fine.

Thank you!

I was told that it was a bad patent because if your pulling something sometimes the discs would slip and leave you stranded. It's happened to my grandpa on his new UB Special out in the field while plowing. He had his discs welded up due to that happening.

I finally found a parts explosion of a live power take-off unit.

Thanks,
Trever
