I JUST GOT THIS MO... THE SERIAL NUMBER IS RTU419349U ON THE SIDE OF THE TRACTOR.

I'D LIKE TO KNOW YEAR THIS THING WAS MADE AND IF
YOU CAN STILL FIND PARTS??

IT LOOKS LIKE THE HEAD IS ON THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK.. WITH THE VAL.. ON TOP OF THE MOTOR.

I GOT IT STARTED, BUT, IT NEEDS A LOT OF TLC..
GOOD WINTER TIME PROJECT I THINK.

THE PAINT IS RED ON TOP OF YELLOW.

I've had a couple of RTUs in the late 40s that were also painted red over the origional Prairie Gold. Parts are available for anything on it. I'm in ILLINOIS, if you're close, I may be able to help. John

Bob,
SERIAL NUMBER RTU419349U is for a 1947 RTU.

Most parts are available but some would have to be used parts.

The head is on the side of the engine the valves are mounted horizontal behind the head with long rockers extending down to the camshaft on the other side of the engine.

The paint should be prarie gold with red grill screen and wheels.
