The 302,602, and M5 were all about 60 hp and they were made all within 10 years of each other... What were the advantages of the 302 over the m5 or 602. And what were the major differences.

Andrew,
The U-302 came out at a time when the M602 was being uprated to 70hp in the form of the M670. The U-302 was rated at 55hp and filled a void left in the Moline line up between the 40hp JS3 and the M670. I own an M5, U302 and M670 and I find the U302 to be the easiest tractor to use. I find it sized very well for most jobs around our place. I use it primarilly as my brush hog tractor. Of the 65+ tractors in our collection it seems to get used the most.

Just my 2 cents.

Brian
