I split the valve guide while lapping the valves
on my 49 RTU. Where can I buy replacement
valve guides and how do I get the old one out?
Do you drill it out, drive it out or what do you use to push it out. The valve stem was flared
at the end and I tried to drive it out instead of filing it down. What a mistake. Any help will
be appreciated.

Hello Joe,
This is your local banker. Come see me. You will be needing a bank loan. Bring the title to your R.

I just did the same "oops" on my J.D. A. I talked to a local valve-job shop and eventually took the head to him to press the old guide out and press in the new one. If AGCO can't get a guide, the valve job shop should be able to find one from an industrial supply place, even if they have to measure the old one and ream the new one to match your valve. Shouldn't cost a whole lot.
