I am working on a 1948 MM UTU that we have converted from propane to gas. I looked in the original owners manual that came with it and it looks like it should be positive ground. Is this right? It was wired (Very poorly) with negative ground when we got it. What is the correct method, and doing it improperly, will it damage the starter?

Thanks in advance,

My 1952 UTS is positive ground, and we also had
a G-VI (I think early 60's) that was also positive
ground. I can vouch for this because one time I
connected a pair of jumper cables backward and burned the positive post off of the battery.
