Hi, I am restoring a 1953 ZBU and a 1956 445. I was wondering if anyone had the factory battery box for the ZB. For the 445 I need the instrument panel, the trim pieces for the hood, the hood latch and seat cushions. If anyone has any of these parts or knows where i could get ahold of them please let me know. Thanks

For the ZB battery box, You need to search this site. This question was asked 2-3 months ago. I know Ken Hicks has battery boxes, but don't know his phone number. (He also has the rubber gasket between the fuel tank and the steering column.) Someone else replied that time with both Ken's phone# and also info about someone who was reproducing battery covers.

Don't know much about ZBU's but regarding the 445:

Most 445's I've seen have alot of nonworking gauges in their instument cluster. I've been told the instrument panel is the same as on some MF combines. You may want to check around at the local tractor wrecking/ junk yards. Also do a website search as this topic has been discussed here before.

The trim pieces show up fairly regularly on ebay. Look there and eventually you will find. Also check the MM tractor website (www.minneapolis-moline.com -I believe) for possible sources.

There is currently a hood latch up for auction on ebay. I don't know how rare they are as my 445 does't have one.

The seat cushions are available as well. I found mine thru- guess what- an ebay auction. The sellers ebay name was bakt4kids. He has never had a seat cushion set for a MM 445 on ebay as far as I know but was able to make one for my tractor when I contacted him. It fit great and is a whole lot better than sitting on the pieces of plywood that were there when I bought the tractor.
