I have a HD800. I would like to remove the oil cooler and run without it. If I disconnect the lines from the block that holds the filters and put plugs in the holes will this obstruct the oil flow? Do I need to have a short line running from one hole to the other in place of the cooler? thanks, Andy

You can use a bypass line or remove the housing and drill the passage together them you may plug them on the outside, if you connect them on the inside make sure you understand the oil flow path before you drill so you don't bypass the filters!

I haven't had the filter off yet. Does the interals of the casting seperate the tow filters? Would that be the place to drill? thanks

If I remember correctly you drill down through one of the cooler line holes and it will connect the two they get filtered before they leave I believe I may have had to cut some type of slot in the back just look at the engine and follow the path of oil and you'll figure it out.
