I have been looking at some 1350s and am interested in buying one. So far I have seen 3 different styles. One with a grill that looks like the older tractors like a 1000. One that is red instead of yellow but looks factory and has the older style grill. One that has the nose that hangs out in front on top of the grill. I like this style the best. Is this called the bubble nose? Are these changes due to certain years or options? Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, (& according to the parts book) there are two different noses on the G1350's. The early ones used the fiberglass "bubble nose" and the weight bracket was cast iron (part of the steering housing). The later ones (and Oliver 2155's) used a cast iron grill similar to those on a G1355. They look a lot like an Oliver grill and use a steel weight bracket. The cast iron weight bracket used on the early ones is on the later ones also, it just has the steel one in front of it & is somewhat covered by the grill etc. G1050's used tha same grills as the G1350's.

I have never seen one that looks like a G1000. Could someone have modified one using parts from a G1000 or have you seen more than one?

John

In 69 they made a handfull of 1350 wheatlands that had the G-1000 grill, hood and looked the same at first glance. They are very rare though. If you know where any of these are & if it is for sale, buy it or post a follow up so we can.

I know that Welter's (Verona,MO)own a very nice 1350 Wheatland with a front end loader on it. This is one of the five built with the G1000 sheet metal.
