1951 RTU had been sitting for 3 years so I cleaned the rust out of the bottom of the carb. What else should I look for/at? Will I be able to find a carb kit or a new carb for it? Thanks.

Another thing I would do before you try to start it up I'd put a few onces of tranny fluid in each cylinder to make sure its loose and also to lube the rings and valves since they will be dry.

You should be able to find a kit and or a carb, a new/rebuilt carb will run you around $250-300. As far as the settings the slow spped will be about 3/4 to start with and the main jet screw will be about 1-1/2 to start with. The old R was a pretty good little tractor with a lot of guts for its size, I've had 2 of them in the past and they where fun to play with. The hand clutch does take a little to get usto if you haven't used them before.

Motec does a fine job, including testing on an engine before returning it to you. It's a COMPLETE rebuild, not just clean and a kit. Highly recomended! John

What is the starting point for this carb? How many turn for both high and low speed. Thanks.
