Hello,

A Minnie Mo G 1000 has shown up here around home and is for sale. I"m a die hard AC man, but would like to add the G 1000 to my collection to show alongside my Allis D-21. It"s the standard G 1000 with a decent cab and the price looks pretty darn good. Before I buy I have a few questions..... 1. How many G 1000"s were produced? and 2. Were there any particular problems with the G 1000?
Thanks.

Not very many built, around 3,000 is my off-
the-cuff guess. If no one else answers, I'll take a look in a book that is somewhere around here. A major problem if the tractor is worked hard, is the axles were too small. I think they increased them as much as a 1/4 inch in the later Vista and G1050 models.

Acording to my book app 2300 G1000s were built this also included 25 Vista prototypes. This is row crop types. MM had lots of problems wit the first production but worked with dealers to correct the tractors. The first unit we sold droped a valve, broke top shaft in trans, cross shafts in diff. all at one time MM repaired tractor and furnished reantal for owner.
