We farmed 14 years with a G 1355 Diesel and a G 1355 LP Gas. They would plow together all day long. The power on both was the same. Cost per hour was the same depending on the price of fuel. As for reliabiltiy - there was no comparison. The LP Gas motor was much more reliable. If your LP eq. is in good condition it will start better than any diesel. I still have the LP Gas tractor. The last time the diesel threw "a scrap iron fit" I parted it out.

local propane dealer had stuff in stock...not just for the 206...from what i understand other than the carb bodies alot of the parts are universal.

local propane dealer carries most of the parts for my 206...only time it turns over more than once is first time after i turn gas on...after that just bump switch and its running.

The HD 504 engine is a very good engine. In my opinion better than the 585 diesel. I think parts are available. May have to be shipped a ways.

What made these 504s in the A4T and 1355 series LP crank out so much more hp than that motor in a 1000 vista which I beleive was rated similar to the 504 diesel at 110+?
