I posted a while back about a "G" that was coming up for auction. It was a one owner tractor that had real good rubber, with excellent sheet metal. The only exception to the sheet metal was the big wheatland fenders that were kind of beat up but not bad. The tractor had sat in the shed for years but looked really nice. It was just a real nice original one owner tractor. It sold for $4200. He also had a one owner 1972 JD 4020 diesel with 5600 hours that sold for $14,200.

I was wondering if you could help I have a Minneapolis Moline not sure what type it has a loader on it. My father had it and left it here on the farm. It needs work. I was trying to sell after being bugged by a few neighbors. Now they have looked at it they say it is in to bad of shape. I do have the serial numbers but am unable to figure out what type of a model it is or the year. 1697065 is the numbers on the side. If anyone can help me with a model type I sure would appreciate it. It would be nice to see it up and running again remind me of the good ol days when my father was alive. My email address is jenbyr317@yahoo.com thanks

It looks like you've got a M5 gas or LP. The 336 engine used in M5 tractros had a serial # that started with "169". You're missing a digit though. The serial # should be 1690XXXX. If you meant 16907065 then it would me a 1964 model. Look on the side of the transmission housing for another serial # tag as Moline had seperate engine and tractor serial #s.
