Hello,
Working on a MM GB. Oil pressure is way to high, over 100 lbs. Trying to rebuild oil pressure relief valve, but cannot remove piston , part no# FE7074. Any suggestions? Should it be removed, or is it a press fit? What is piston made from, brass, steel or aluminum?
Thank you,
Don

Try Welters at 417-498-6496. I know I got one for my UB Special from there.

Thanks for all the advice. Welters said no problem, they could fix me up. Great people to do business with. Thanks again,
Don

The relief valve piston is steel on my U. It should slide easily in it's housing. (The piston and spring dropped right out of the filter base casting when I removed the bottom cap on mine).

I have not had one apart on a G but I suspect it's the same program as the U's, etc. First, you must get it out! It is steel and new ones are available so fear not ruining it getting it out. That's not much help I know. Good luck.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. Went to a AGCO(MM) dealer, he is trying to locate a new piston but not having any luck. Any idea on locating a new piston?
Thanks again,
Don
