Hello,

Anyone got a source for a new tempature gauge with the long capulary tube 84" plus long? Any luck going to an aftermarket electric gauge?

Thank you,
Don

Just finished going thru a "56 GB and ran into the same problem! I purchased a 72", which would not work in the proper location. Just to get by till I fine the right length, I put it off the hyd. tank. Not the best, but at least there is something to read.I"m going to check with the Napa store here in town.

I have a GBLP and I bought a gauge from Antique Gauges that works fine. I don't recall it having such a long lead though. 84", are you mounting it in the stock dash? Where are you attaching it to the engine. I don't think it should have to be 84 inches long.

Hello Curt,
Thank you for the information. I am mounting the gauge in the stock dash location. The capulary tube runs down the left side of tractor, up between hdy. tank and engine block. over to the right side and sensor is inserted into the water manifold between valve covers and exhaust manifold. The orginal had a tube length of 84" but 96" would be better. Is there a different mounting location? The water at that location has already been thru radiator.
Thank you again,
Don

Hello
I think we got ours from NAPA, its a stewart waner gauge and you could get it with a 10' long lead, think they ordered it for me and had it the next day. its been a couple years but im sure napa could help you out. of course the drawback to it is its not a MM gauge and it has numbers on it instead of the colors and cold run hot.

Thanks Shawn, but the longest one I've been able to locate is 72 inches. Working toward an electric. Problem with that is positive ground, don't know if it will work or just short itself out. Thanks for the help, Don
