Posting another one looking for help for my dad. You guys were a great help last time with the question on the ZTU serial number so I'm sure you will be again. He just picked up an old 2 bottom Moline trip plow to go with the ZTU but he doesn't know what colors to paint it. Right now it is some kind of green color that resembles really badly faded Oliver green. We've never seen any Moline plows of that vintage painted so we could use some pointers.

Re: Moline Plow Color--Thanks in reply to A_Deere, 07-24-2006 17:32:24
I knew I went to the right place! Thanks a lot guys for the assist. I saw that plow in the photo ads but I wasn't sure if it was the correct color either. In response to you Brian(MN), yes it looks like the plow has been repainted. (I've only seen it once and didn't look for any original paint since it was buried in weeds/brush. It did have the Moline stamps in the beams and I also belive the hub caps on the wheels were stamped MM. The plow looks identical to the one in the photo ads except for the poor color. Thanks again guys!

Hi, Yes, the plows were painted red with gold wheels. Has your plow been repainted that green color? My two bottom moline plows have been stamped "MOLINE" on the backs of the main beams.

Back in the day MM painted its letter model Tractors Prairie Gold with Cherry Red wheels. Plows were just the opposite, Red with Prairie Gold wheels.
