You sure its an R not a UDLX?? If it is a UDLX it will be very high as in from $10,000 to 100,000 depending on how good it is. Now if it is an R it might be an aftermarket cab. I know the only older MMs I know of that had the cab was the UDLX but there may have been others

There were plenty of early MMs with cabs. The UDLX is the most well known. There were approx. 400 cabs built for the '39 and '40 R. Some of those cabs were still available in the mid' '40s and were sold on later model Rs. There was the UTX which had a cab similar to the UDLX. There were 25 ZTXs built which had the R style cab. MM also put cabs on several of the their industrial tractors; UTI, UTIL, RTI, .... and even on some of the Constellation series tractors (445, Big Mo, 4 Star, ...). There should be no shortage of MMs with cabs on them.

Nope Sorry! There where R tractors with factory cabs. They where on both the standard and universal models. There is also two coming up on a sale on Labor day at Dennis Polks consignment sale as well. Those cabbed tractors don't bring super high prices like the UDLX but the do bring big big money. 12,000.00 to 14,000.00 plus dollars.

Stay away from Polks. All he does is cry about his tractor not bringing enough money. Ever sale I've been to of Polks, he stop the sale and cries about tractor selling to cheep. He also strips the tractor bare and then sell the part to make more money. Polk never done anything good for tractor collectors.

Polk is a green guy and most of the attendees will be green also. The green (JD) bidder types are no problem but Dennis does know the relative value of about everything that he sells. The last R with a cab that I saw sell at Polks brought right close to $20,000. I'll be there but I won't be a bidder.
