how does the oliver rear end of the 955 stack up against the moline of the 950? it appears that pto operation would be more convenient with the moline as you don't have to change shafts or shift from 540/1000 955 has more speeds but are they as heavy spec'd as the moline? I have run white & oliver and the shift rail can sometimes be a nuisance. Thanks in advance for any opinions and insight.

Kind of hard for an old die hard Moline man to say b ut the 955 rear end is better and far quiter than the 950.

I have never owned a G950 but I really like the three speed rear end of the G955 for plowing and pulling a big round baler. The Oliver rear splits the gears where the Ampli-Torque does not. We never had any problems out of the G955.

Thank you both for your response the oliver three spd is avery nice transmission to use.We are looking at both a 950 and a 955.Are there any pto issues with the 950? The 950 appears to be in much better shape but is further away also the 955 pops out of 2nd gear . Thanks again
