I have a early 60s M 602. It is 2 wheel drive. Wide front low hours around 1600. In good running shape. Runs on LP. Always shedded. Metal is in excellent shape so is the rubber. Paint is pretty good. Runs excellent. New battery.

I am not a certified Farm Equipment appraiser, but my uncle bought a 602 similar to yours this fall with more hours for around $2600. I'm guessing that yours would be worth more like $3000 to $3500 if it is a really nice original tractor. Just another opinion for you to consider.

I am a cerified Farm Equipment Appraiser. for a fee I'de be glad to give you an official appraisal of your tractor, depending on location. I live in North Dakota, if you are anywhere near here.

I too have a M602. Gasoline w/f 3pt, w/high hours, around 12,000. I paid $500 for it, & have put another $1,500 into over the last 8 years. little things, & big things too! short of the hydraulics, they are great tractors. - - - - MAJ

Specifically what hydraulic problems and how pervasive in the 602 model are they.

We purchased at Bob Pelzel's auction early summer in Sleepy Eye, MN a 1964 M-M M602 gas adjustable wide front, 3-point, new paint, good tires, runs excellent for $2,500. This was a good price. The tractor got a lot of positive comments when shown this summer. Ken H. did a fine job in restoring this tractor.

A 1964 non-running tough appearance tractor sold at auction at the same location last weekend for about $600. No 3-point hitch.

The 1999 Intertec used tractor price guide shows a range for a 1963 M602 LP (not 4WD) from $2,960 fair, $3,480 good, and $4,420 premium. These figures are estimated average value less repairs.

Your asking price may depend on relative value of Minneapolis-Moline tractors in your location, and other details as to paint condition (original, older restoration, new restoration), tin, 3-point, etc. I am not a farm equipment appraiser, but there are some site users who have attained that certification, and who could give you an appraisal for a fee.
