Need to know where starter solenoid is supposed to be mounted? There are no holes in starter case to mount it to, like on my R.

I don"t think there is a starter solenoid, strictly a push button affair, with hot wire from battery to the button and the other lead from starter to button. Botton is a contact point. If you are putting in a key switch then you may need to spot a solenoid in the electrical somewhere.

That is correct. it is the heavy duty pushbutton. There were two versions, the short, which the ZT used, and the long which some cars used, mounted to the floor pan or firewall and pushed by the foot.

The ZTU button mounted in a plate on the bottom of the battery box, below the instrument panel/box that was on the rear of the battery box.

Some ZTS (I know of only one. It was a 1940 ZTS and the owner had bought it in the fifties.) that was supposedly factory equipped with battery box and starter but no other electrical equipment, mounted that big push button switch in a plate attached to one of the fenders (I think it was the left fender.)
