Does anyone know if a year-a-round cab will fit on an M5? Looked at one on an IH, was a HYDRO 70 I believe. lookes like it may fit....Are there any other brands that would fit? Most are a general fit with the exception of the mounts....they can be made..just wondering about clearance for 3 pt..and where it would fit over the hood ( fuel tank access ). Anyone have any pictures of cabs on MMs they can send by email...

Looks like a Meade cab, very similar to the MM cab I have on my G950. MM put on Meade cabs for a short period, although a Crenlow is the correct cab for my year. My best guess is that Meade was offered on G1000 or the G1000 Vista. Regrdless, I was told it was the only cab that ever came with MM decals.

My friend took me to a MM place where a fella put a cab off of a Farmall 706 on a M5 and he took the MM round fenders and attached them on there and it actually looked like something from a factory, schrocky tell them about it, if you try it might be forsale, we were trying to buy it for parts

My dad put a Burch cab on our M5 in the early 1980's and we used it that way until just a few years ago It fit pretty close, only had to change a few little things. It originally had been on a 1650 Oliver. This had brackets that bolted on the fender sides.

Not that i am any help but Pauls m5 cab is the same type as on my 670 so between the 670's and m5 they interchange, dad has an Excel cab on his m5, i still have not seen any for sale for you. I am guessing the year-around brand would be the way to go even if you have to hack it up a bit to make it fit they are a good solid cab compared to the tin ones used on most old molines, good luck hope you find one before the snow flies, take care.

I have a photo of our old M-5 with a cab on it, just don't really know how to post it. I have scanned it in, but that is all the further I got. The cab is actually a labeled as a Moline cab, although I don't know who built it. Unfortunately, Dad took it off years ago, it sat around a while, and went to the salvage yard. Tractor is sold now too.

Read your remarks after posting above. I would assume it is a Meade cab.
