I have acquired an A4T 1400 with low hours of about 2,000. The tractor had one owner with I beleive all the options such as: 3 point, PTO, 38" rubber, cab, and HD 800 engine. The orginal owner had the engine installed and had trouble with the transmission and tried to retro fit a transmission from another make tractor. I am trying to decide if I should retore the tractor or part it out.

so what did you do with the A4t-1400? I have one that I need to get fix and could use some parts if you parted it out. Draop me a line anyway if you fixed it.

Let me know what you would like for the whole tractor or just engine. Thanks.

Origanal trans is long gone. This retro fit was done in the early 80s. everything is completed on the tractor except for the front drive shaft. Tractor has set in tool shed ever since. I could make a drive coupleing to front axle. But tractor would not be origanal.

try and get origanal trans and I think the only problem was input shaft twisted off. Depends what you are going to do with it. If you are going to use it just forget about the pto and install solid input shaft. If you want pto then hp of 800 will limit how much twist input shaft can handle while pulling.
