I pull my gb, stock classes only. I've pulled it for approximately 4 years now, with much success, this summer it is just like it is a different tractor. It has no power at all. I really have'nt done anything to it other than 2 years ago I put Pertronics ignition on it. The tractor runs beautifull, starts perfect (no chocke) idles good, throttle response is good, just no power. checked lines from radiator to propane regulator, all seem to be clean etc. regulator frost's over when idleing. Was wondering if maybe it is a diaphram problem on ensign "r" regulator, or maybe just a timing issue. Not many propane people in my part of South Dakota to talk to. Ideas would be helpfull thanks.

Check the regulator and see if the vet hole is plugged. Mud wasp like to plug them.

That regulator should not develop any frost at an idle. The type R's usually develop some frost at the fuel inlet when working but at an idle there should be none. It sounds like there's a water circulation problem in the regulator. Remove the water lines and see if you can get water through it. I had the same trouble with a 400 Case. The trouble was a plugged water line between the block and the regulator.

I agree with Curt---should replace the regulator diaphram as well and check/set the main valve and then the idle valve---no frost should be on the vaporizer---can also check and see if the liquid valve is open or leaking--in summer should run on liquid only when over 75/80 degrees or when REALLY PULLING--otherwise on vapor. Also check and replace the filter--gets plugged after many years with the graphite that is is some propane.
