I have M&M with an EE engine ser# 0174901729, have figured out 1949 for engine year. Has LULL # A-653 shovel loader model 4-A. Anyone know what model tractor I might have?

Your tractor with an EE engine should be a model R. However the engine number is not an accurate method to tell the tractor year. MM made a lot of stationary engines and used the same numbering system. On the right side of the transmission housing is a data plate with the TRACTOR sn. as well as the model ID. When looking for parts or anything, this is what you usually need. Sometimes for engine parts, the eng no. is required. The tractor data plate is roughly below the hand clutch that I assume your tractor has.

Good luck and if you need more info just email me.

I.D. tag missing on trans. It has foot clutch not hand. Looks like it may have had a backhoe at one time. friend's dad had 1952 calender with exact photo less backhoe.

OK. It sounds to me like you have either an RTI, which is an industrial model, or a military version. I "think" both of these had foot clutches and to me looked quite simular. The guy that could probably tell you more is Brian Rukes, as he has done a lot of research on MM. I beleive his web page is www.mmregistry@yahoo.com. That should put you in touch with him.

Once again good luck.

Hi,

I am most definitely willing to help you with the narrowing down if not definite identification of both the model designation and year model of your tractor. Please e-mail me at mmregistry@yahoo.com and we'll see what we can figure out!

Thanks, take care, and have a good one! I hope to hear from you soon!

Respectfully,

Brian Rukes
