I have a couple of friends who both own ex g1000 demonstraiter(sp)We knew that M.M put a larger IND engine in the tractors to show off the power.I was told that about each dealer had one.What we were wondering was what engine did M.M use.

I'm told that if you FILL the rear end with lube they will live longer.

The motor was a HD800 LP. Minneapolis Moline made a Power-Up kit for the G1000 Vista. This was a dealer installed kit. It was a speical made HD800 motor with a small bolt pattern to fit the G1000 transmissiion. The HD800 motor was about 250 horsepower. The only problem was the motor was stronger than the read end. If you used 1st or 2nd gear under a hard pull the rear end would break.

Hee hee thanks that must be it because both tractors had rearend replaced.Sure do pull a 6/18 plow real nice though!
