Hi all.

I am in the process of re-assembling the KEF engine from a 1945 UT. I had the crankshaft ground and now am trying to determine how to get the flywheel back on the crank in the proper bolt location so that when the #1 cylinder is TDC and the mark on the flywheel will line up with the indicator mark on the bell housing. Past tractor overhauls I have done I found the bolt holes were offset so that the flywheel would only line up with the crank one way.

These six bolt holes in the flywheel and the crank of the MM KEF are equal distance apart and this allows the flywheel to bolt on in any of six possible positions, if my math is correct.

How do you determine which holes in the flywheel to line up with the holes in the crank so that the TDC mark on the flywheel is in the proper location on the crank?

Thanks for your help.

If # 1 throw is up TDC should be 90 degrees to the left looking at flywheel from rear. The crank keyway should be on top.
