I really don't understand what to be looking for here, and though I often graduate from different schools of hard knocks... Loaders can get expensive if you buy too many of them

So will a schwartz 1600 fit the old M602? I have the additional bars on the frame that the previous owner put on to mount his schwartz, but are they all the same - I would think probably not.

If you are going to use it for average loader work and move snow, you will probably be alright. Just don't put a 1500# bale out front half way in the air and run across a rough field. The older tractors were not designed for mid mounts. That goes for AC, IHC, JD and all the rest. More than one tractor has been broke in half. Although I have never seen a MM busted in the middle.

I have helped my buddy put just about any kind of loader on any kind of tractor. Not sure of the size of the 1600 but if it is big enough for the tractor to fit in then you can build your own mountings. Personally I hate seeing a loader on a 602 or any tractor with that type of frame, you are asking for component and radiator failure....have seen it too often... my 2 1/2 cents worth

No problem if you mount an MM or Schwartz loader that was sold for those tractors. Any loader that has a subframe that mounts to the engine side rails and also runs to the back axle will be fine. But if you mount a mid mount loader that is a different story.

What is wrong with the tractor for a loader? I have frame extensions..... on the side for a schwartz I was told? I don't want to break anything. I am thinking of biting the bullet and just buying a compact tractor and loader. That way it can rake hay and pull wagons too.
