I have a used light switch to put on my 1966 M670 Super. The place I got it from cut the wire resistor that is used for dimming the lights. Is there any way to "fix" it to use? Not sure if they are available anymore.

Got my switch fixed. I used a resistor from an older M5 switch and pop riveted it on with steel rivets...and it even works. I dont know how much anyone ever used dim on tractors in the first place. Luke, did the switch you bought have a long coil of wire on it or a small resistor coil?

It had a long wad of wire rubber banded to it that said resistor wire on it. It doesn't seem to dim down as much as my 670 does but it has a coil type resistor on it.

Thanks for the info. Is that a special covered wire, or like regular wire? I have seen some used on stoves that is a special heat resistant wire, kind of cloth or fiber covered. Did you have to attach it or does it come attached.

The switch isstill available through AGCO. At least I got one for my 950 last summer. It had the resistor wire already on it. I can look through my reciept and try to find a number.

Also wondering about the power supply for the gauges as so far mine do not seem to light at all.

Alan , an easy check for you is to put a hot wire on the B terminal, and then turn the switch into the first position and find which term. is hot, it should then stay hot in all positions. Did you get my e-mail about the parts ?
