Where can I find an electric starter for a JT has ring gear on flywheel now? Does it interchange with other model MM?

Does your JT have the RE or the JE engine?

I am thinking the JE engines did not have a ring gear. Their crankcase doesn't have a place for a starter either. The JE engine was the original engine for the JT tractor, although many have been re-powered with the RE or 206 engines and some 'may' have been factory installed, depending on who you talk to.

If your engine is an RE (Or an EE or 206) you can use a 6v starter from a Z,R, or ZA. or a 12v starter from a ZB.

The engine is an RE. Thank you for your help.
