I have been looking at a one owner G-1355 and the owner states that hydraulic oil is leaking into the rear end buts he says it is just some kind of pan that is cracked and it wouldn"t take much to fix other than the fact of splitting the tractor. Does this sound correct to anyone and if so how much would it take to fix it in dollar amount?

I am pretty sure the 1355 has the oliver rear end in it, so its probably a seal in the pto or in the pto valve, both our 1955 and 2255 had this problem. I think agco makes an imroved seal that avoids this problem for a longer period. One other thing it could be is the seal in the hydraulic pump which could leak hydraulic oil into the rear end. 9 times out of 10 it would be the pto thats letting your hydraulic oil into the rear end. Might want to ask on the oliver board they could give you the proper procedure for getting it out and in successfully. Hope it works out for you.

YOU DONT HAVE TO SPLIT THE TRACTOR.JUST THE TOP COVER ON THE REAR HOUSING CHECK PTO FIRST.

I had the same problem. My hydraulic pto was bad.Had to replace clutch as leaked into rearend. Pto wouldn't shut off. Can be peraired by pulling out pto assembly from back.Cost me about 1800$
