I'm looking at a 670 Super Diesel. It seems to run fine, but will only move about a foot or so, and then stops. The same thing for forward and reverse, same if amplitorq is in high, or low. There isin't any feeling that something is "stopping" (like a brake hung up or something), it just won't go further (level ground). The guy selling it says it's the clutch. I don't know enough about it to confirm this. Can someone help me figure out what's wrong with this machine? Also, would like guestimates on value. She's kinda rough - missing a couple guages, Rubber poor one rear wheel been weld repaired due to a past calcium leak eating the rim, tin fair with a few small pieces missing, seat shot, etc. I'm looking to use this thing, not show it, but don't want to spend a small fortune on it. This is not a heart purchase, I've got land to clear and a shop and house to build, then hay to make. I need a decent set of wheels. Would appreciate any and all comments. Located mid atlantic region.

This sounds like a large project tractor. If the clutch is not making a winning noise or if it moves a all it is probably the torq. This is an expensive part of the tractor. if you do get this replace keep the torq in high range at all times do not do any heavy pulling with it in low for a long period of time . That is very hard on it and soon you would be replacin it again. When it comes to making it pretty it will take a large amount. paint alone is 100 dollers a gallon and guages are also very expensive, not to mention overhauling it. If I were you I would wait on it
