At the risk of getting the same type of responses as Greg, is the G 705 diesel a good tractor? There is one on a local farm sale. Have only seen the picture in sale bill. Has cab and looks like 30" rubber. Son-in-law of seller said he ran it planting wheat, thought it is a good tractor. Used on hydroswing so I know it has PTO. Don't know about 3 pt. What BREAKS on these and what would one in good condition be worth? I have heard MM diesels are hard starting cold. Also not the greatest hydraulics. T or F? Seems to me that most problems on any brand tractor are mostly the result of operator misuse and/or neglect. I run Case and Ford myself but am open minded.

The MM sold for $2100 today. I'm sure it was worth the money. I didn't bid. Started and run good. Was going to need new 23.1x30 tires before too long. Same sale sold a JD 4320 with 7900+ hrs for $8300. Nicest I have seen.

If the fuel system is in good shape they don`t start to bad. We have a vista and it starts right up also we have a 5 star diesel, but it does not start to good , it does not have the Rossa Master pump. The Rossa Master makes the difference. By the way the vista and the 705 both have the 504 motor.

John, I have 2 G705 propanes, and I wouldnt trade em for anything...I thing they are very good tractors. neither of mine have 3 point however.and they are a little akward turning...put as far as pulling you cant beat them...I'd recomend the tractor.
