I'm seeking information on a '52 GTC. Iwould like to know the rear tire size, mine has 18.4x26,also the HP,and are their many around? My decal shows only a G. Is this correct?

Hope someone else replys on the tire size and decal.

The GTC was an LP tractor produced from 1951-1953. Serial numbers were 04700001 to 04701101 (1100 units.) The GTC was sold at the same time as the GTB, but because it was an LP and possessed many improved modifications different from the GTB it was given its own series designation (GTC.) The engine was the four-cylinder 340 cid with a 4 1/2” bore and 6” stroke. Nebraska tests were never reported for the GTC. Because of its high compression 4 cylinder 340 cid LP engine, the GTC was about the same drawbar and belt hp as the larger 4 cylinder 403 cid gasoline and 4 cylinder 425 cid diesel engines in the GTB and GTB-D (diesel.) The gasoline engine in the GTB was the 403A-4 and rated 49 drawbar hp and 58 belt hp.

I found a 'G' model, serial #01604782. It is an LP model. That would theoretically make it a GTC but the serial number doesn't correspond with the GTC lists that I have found. The power plant is a 403A-4, serial # 02004807. What gives? Good looking tractor. Just wondering exactly what it is. Or if it was converted in the past-which does not seem to be the case. That would be too much trouble I would think. This tractor isn't mine yet but if I can convince the wife that I 'need' it it will be.
