Do you know if you can bore a 10a149 jugs of MM U 4 1/4" to 4 5/8" safely if you use it just for tractor pulling. Do the water jackets get to thin for that? We have some old piston out of a MM G that i would like to use. From the top of the piston to the center of the wrist pin is 2 3/4" and the wrist pins is 1 3/16" the total length is 5 1/2". Do these compair to a 4 1/4" Piston I don't have a standard MM U piston to take the specs off. I was hoping to bore my jugs and change pistons on the wrist pins. Has anyone ever tried this if you could help let me know thanks

I have a set of M5 blocks with M&W High compression pistons on my 48 UTU. This combination nets me 65hp. With the M5 blocks you go from 283 cu.in. to 336 cu.in. This increases the blocks to 4-5/8 bore.
