The steel supply tube to the three point hitch cylinder. Did MM really figure the tube would stay in the control box with no keeper? Seems that way and I think it will stay but it still seems to me that it's potential trouble without a keeper. There is a keeper in the end of the cylinder but nothing for the other end of the tube. What experiences have you all had with this?

Yes Curt, MM did expect that tube to stay in but if I remember correctly it is held in. We had two M5's and never had any trouble with either one. In fact I still have my '62 Jet Star that I bought new and it has not given any problems with coming out or leaking. As I remember the M5 was the same as the Jet Star and the only time I took it apart, I had a tough time getting the pipe out. Then I realized that the cover that is on the control valve is off set so that it is behind the shoulder of the tube that has the O ring. If you try to take the tube out without taking the cover off, you are going to have trouble. I hope I have explained this so that you can understand.

Best of luck

Roger
