I saw a tractor by the side of the road. I called the owner. It is a 1955 MM CB(??) 4 cyl. gas, 33 hp, tricycle gear, foot clutch, row crop size. I think it had some sort of semi-mounted hitch.

I am looking for an addition/replacement for my 50hp oliver diesel. All I know about MM is that my gandpa worked for them and I have an ancient MM rake on steel that needs help.

I'll try to get a MODEL/SERIAL# if I can.

What do you Minne-Mo people think of this?
Jim

It is probably a zb. The zb was styled like the UB. Essentially you sat on a platform above the pto shaft, had a foot clutch, and the steering was different to compensate for the higher platform. They were made from 53-55. It had 11x38 tires on the rear and 5.50 x 16 on the front. A plus is that it has a 12 volt system.

Thanks for the tip. I looked at the pic's in the other part of the site. I will go look again armed with the pic's. My next questions would be if a wide fromt could be added, and if the tractors had two way hydraulics and live pto.

I tend to think that finding a wide front end (factory) would be rather difficult. I also tend to think that it didn't have two way hydraulics but I may be wrong. I don't know if it had live pto. The ub's of the same era had an optional live pto.
